The wide range of digital tools available continues to grow, and many teachers are now using them to facilitate learning. I am a very visual and auditory learner, so tools like the Podcasts and educational videos better suit my learning style. During my coursework I had also experienced the use of one of the tools I consider being one of the most useful collaboration learning tools: Google Docs.
Acquiring new knowledge for me now is a "computerized" matter. It is interesting how people have adopted the term "google it" meaning searching for information using the Google site's search tool. I have also adopted different sites to search-in when I have unanswered questions. In conclusion, I have to say that learning for me nowadays is a totally different experience.

The message I received from Sara Irish:
ReplyDeleteHi Debra,
I like the new template a lot! A little tricky to find where to click to
comment, but I eventually found it.
I especially enjoyed the video that you found on You Tube talking about
digital learning. If you want to embed the video into your blog you can
simply click on the embed link below the video on You Tube, and then copy
and paste the HTML code into your blog post.
Google has become such a powerful tool that the verb "to Google" become an
official word a few years ago. You can read about it:

Hi!
ReplyDeleteDebra, I agree with you about acquiring new knowledge being a "computerized" matter. The digital age is here and we have to adapt to the demands it require. However, as educational technologist it provides a bright future for us. Now, it is up to us to bring 21st century learning to the front lines of society.
